Amee Davis was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1893. Amee Davis painted for the sheer pleasure she received from her art and that other people liked her work as much as she did. Miss Davis privately studied with Anthony Thieme, a noted Gloucester Artist and Stanley Royle an Englishman who taught her how to use color. She belonged to the Westfield Art Association where she exhibited in 1938 and 1939.
This colorful painting is an oil on board signed lower left in a plain gray frame.
