 Nell Walker Warner was born in 1891, in a small town in Nebraska. She graduated from the Missouri Women's College in 1910. Ms. Warner had briefly taught art in Colorado Springs before moving to Los Angeles, California. In California she taught art at the Hollywood School for Girls and the Westlake School for Girls. In the early 1920's she studied art with two local artists Nicholia Fechin and Fritz Werner, she also started the Tuesday Afternoon Art Club. She died in Carmel, California in 1970. She is best known for her landscapes, still lives and harbor scenes. 

The painting is entitled " Lazy Stream" an original oil on canvas, signed lower right Nell Walker Warner. Ms. Warner used the autumn colors on this landscape. The back shows some minor repairs on the canvas,but is in good condition. The artwork measures 30.5 x 35 inches including the original frame.
